The European Union after investigating news and opinion blogs worldwide have come up with some "tells" used by Russain propagandists. These are phrases and ideas from articles that have been shown to have been started by russian propaganda. They are

1) referring to Ukraine as a "Nazi state" 2) that anti-Putin politicians in the USA are trying to start World war 3  3) The European Union is Russiaphobic and dying 4) The UK poisoned Skripals and blamed russia

I have not seen these opinions expressed here but I have seen variations on these themes in  comments on Youtube, Yahoo, Facebook and Alternet within the last month. The posters have all claimed to be liberal, and that anti-putin sentiment in the west is because of corporate interests in the united states.  They often start out with something like “Trump is the worst president we ever had, but….”

I find those espousing these views to be obtuse and resort to name calling when called into question. The posters also often hype obscure websites that mirror their pro russian talking points.

I was curious if others here had any experience with this kind of Russian Propaganda posted in the comments sections of political articles posing as liberals.
